Our ‘Little Apples Pledge’….
We pledge to provide your child with a safe, secure and nurturing environment where each individual is given the best possible support to thrive in our learning environment. Our team will navigate your child through the EYFS and offer a wide variety of activities to challenge them and provide them with the learning tools to succeed. We have created our own Ethos and Curriculum which sits alongside the EYFS to ensure all children receive a high standard of learning and effective teaching across all age groups.
As one of South Croydon and Sanderstead’s leading day nursery and pre-school, our provision of early years education is of a very high standard.
The safety, health and wellbeing of our children is paramount to us at Little Apples.

At the Little Apples we offer parents the opportunity to access funding for both two and three-year olds.
There are many great reasons for families to pick Little Apples near Sanderstead, as their first-choice nursery in and around the South Croydon area. Below, we have listed some of the reasons why parents come to us for quality child care, above other day nurseries and pre-schools.
Outstanding Support
Little Apples Day Nursery delivers a wealth of support for families. Not only do we offer additional extra curriculum activities at the nursery, but we also believe it’s important to us to have connections to services run by the local authorities. If required, we support families who may need extra support or who may want to meet new families through our PPA network. We currently have 4 members of staff who are degree qualified, this has provided an extra layer of knowledge and experience which has been passed on to the whole team to ensure children are receiving a high standard of teaching. This has given us the opportunity to holistically look at our delivery of teaching and implement process and ideas to build on our strong learning foundations we already have in place.
Homely Atmosphere
Opened and owned by two mums, we are a big family at Little Apples and provide a friendly, warm atmosphere that acts as a home away from home. We want children to be happy and parents to feel relaxed, offering ‘Meet the Director’ days every six weeks, alongside pop in sessions for parents to come in to join activities with their child.
EYFS Learning
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the standards of learning for every child’s development which is followed by day nurseries and pre-schools throughout the UK. At Little Apples, your child will have a key-worker who will closely follow this framework to provide your child with a tailored learning program to navigate their learning journey. As a parent at Little Apples you will receive photo observations and earning summaries every six weeks. Parents Evenings take place once a term to keep you up to date on how your child is progressing through the framework.
Woodland Sessions
We love to be outdoors and have created our own Woodland sessions that take place at our local park in South Croydon. Run by our Forest School Leader, all children over 2 will have the opportunity to participate in these sessions. We run the sessions in blocks and children will experience the chance to take learning outside into nature, encouraging children to problem solve, explore, and use their imagination. Families from Sanderstead and the surrounding areas come to Little Apples for this unique learning experience.
